SME Mobile Application

Our client is looking for a subject matter expert in mobile application to assist the internal product manager in the RFP process for their shopping center mobile application. Their current application has been on the market for 3 years and is distributed on iOS and Android.

OBJECTIVES:

Complete the RFP documentation in order to cover all the dimensions to select a vendor to build, deploy and maintain the new mobile program. Output, including but not limited to, the business needs, the high-level functional requirements, the non-functional requirements, the delivery methodology, the writing of the RFP documentation and the definition of vendors evaluation criteria.

The candidate must have already delivered several mobile application projects and completed at last one RFP process for a mobile application development.  The candidate must also have prior product management experience in the retail (or similar) industry and must be familiar with the latest technologies and trends. He/she can operate efficiently in a short deadlines’ environment. Key skills sought are:
  • Good understanding of mobile app architecture and data model
  • Solid understanding of mobile technologies, frameworks and market trends
  • Excellent English writing skills
  • Solid business analyst skills
  • Strong understanding of Apple and Google Play design framework and guidelines
  • Good project management methodologies knowledge

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Collaborate with the internal mobile product owner in the documentation of the existing business requirements
  • Documentation of high-level functional requirements and user experience based on current apps
  • Collaborate in the definition and documentation of the solution architecture, non-functional requirements (ex: types of platforms, frameworks, code language, etc.)
  • Collaborate in the definition of the desired delivery model, the methodology, the maintenance (SLAs) and monitoring approaches.
  • Collaborate in the definition of the RFP evaluation criteria
  • Collaborate in creating the shortlist of vendors
